Have you ever put peanut butter on a burger? If you have - cool, we’d probably be friends. If you have not - buckle up because it’s one of the tastiest decisions that we’ve ever made. For the full recipe, you’re going to have to pick up our friend Mason’s new cookbook, Turkey and the Wolf: Flavor Trippin' in New Orleans - you can buy it here.
In short, we took his awesome recipe and put our spin on it by using our very own Lao Curry ground beef. We chose that beef in particular because the smoky bacon & peanut butter that you see on the burger are flavors that pop up a lot in Laotian cooking - cured or fermented pork belly and ground peanuts. Based on that logic we figured they’d be a natural pair - and we were very, very right.
