Ingredients
- 1 package Phil’s Finest Smoked Cauli Bratwurst
- 1 package Martin’s Potato rolls, long
- 1 jar whole grain mustard
- 1 jar sauerkraut
- 1 head red cabbage
- EVOO as needed
Method
- While the grill is heating up, split your head of cabbage into thick wedges (4-6 depending on the size of your cabbage) and salt the cabbage leaves.
- Once your grill is hot, oil the grates and place the cabbage flat side down over direct heat. Cook until well-charred on each side. Remove to cool slightly.
- Once the cabbage is removed, throw your sausages on the grill and heat to your preferred level of charred-ness. If using a skillet, lightly oil and sear to your preferred level of crispness.
- While the sausages are getting crispy, use a knife to cut the charred cabbage into ribbons and set aside in a bowl.
- When sausages are crisped, place them in a bun and add mustard, sauerkraut, and charred cabbage to your heart’s delight! These backyard bangers are at their most delicious when eaten standing in mowed grass without shoes on.
