Hot Oil Noodles

In the pantheon of “easy recipes” this one is way, way up there, meaning it’s a fantastic go-to for lunch or a quick dinner. It relies on super basic and speedy cooking methods combined with pantry products that bring big, punchy flavor - the noodles are fast to cook, and the hot oil makes the individual ingredients sing in a flavorful chorus.

ACTIVE: 20 minutes
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: wok or skillet, small sauce pot

  1. Set water to boil for your noodles.
  2. While your water is boiling, cook your Phil's Finest Korean BBQ beef into crispy crumbles and set aside in a small bowl.
  3. Cook your noodles according to package instructions.
  4. Drain your cooked noodles under cold water until they’re completely cooled off - dump them in the bowl that you intend to eat in (make sure it’s heatproof).
  5. Right on top, add your light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, vinegar, minced garlic (raw), chili crunch, and cooked Phil’s Finest Korean BBQ ground beef.
  6. While you’re adding those ingredients to your bowl, heat up about 2 T of neutral oil until it shimmers - pour it directly on top of your bowl of noodles, stir it up with your chopsticks, and enjoy!
