WHAT DO YOU MAKE? AND WHAT’S IN YOUR PRODUCTS?

We put the "more" in omnivore! Our sausages and ground mixes are equal parts humanely-raised meat and delicious veggies & spices. They're more flavorful, more nutritious, and more of what you're looking for in every bite.

Phil's Finest Chicken Sausages are made in Rochester, NY in partnership with a 5th-generation sausage maker using certified Global Animal Partnership (GAP) rated chicken such as Mary's Chicken from Pitman Family Farms. All chickens are raised with no antibiotics ever and fed a 100% vegetarian diet. The starting lineup? Kale Chimichurri, Smoked Cauli Brat, and Maple Apple.

Phil's Finest 100% Grass-Fed and Grass-Finished Ground Beef mixes are made in Vermont, where all animals are humanely-raised on pasture, no exceptions. Committed to a decentralized and sustainable base of meat production, our beef comes from a network of 300 local, small-scale farmers. We have two scrumptious flavors: Korean BBQ and Lao Curry.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS GLUTEN-FREE?

Yes, all our products except our Korean BBQ Ground Beef are made with gluten-free ingredients. However, they are not made in facilities that are certified gluten-free.

WHAT TYPE OF CASING DO YOU USE FOR YOUR SAUSAGES?

In an effort to make our products accessible to as many dietary restrictions as possible, we make our sausages without a casing - unlike many sausages that use a pork or bovine collagen casing.

ORDERS

WHERE DO YOU SHIP?

We ship everywhere in the continental US except PO boxes, and APO boxes. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

To make sure your products arrive in tip-top shape, we ship orders Monday through Wednesday. We’ll email you an update with tracking info when the order does ship! We also email you when you order, so check your spam if you don’t see any emails from us in your inbox.

HOW SHOULD I HANDLE MY ORDER WHEN IT ARRIVES?

We recommend sticking your products in the freezer! When you are ready to eat put them in the fridge overnight to thaw, and cook within 5 days of thawing. Use within 2 days of opening!

HOW SHOULD I HANDLE MY ORDER’S PACKAGING?

Our boxes are curbside recyclable and the liner bag is recyclable with #4 plastics. The insulated liner is compostable and sink-friendly. Please leave the dry ice in open air to sublimate; DON'T touch it with bare skin, let it sit on your countertop, or wash it down the sink - it's -109 degrees! If you ordered sausages, you'll receive a foil mailer that can be reused or thrown out - it isn't recyclable, but it does a great job of protecting our products in transit.

WHERE DOES YOUR MEAT COME FROM?

We take it seriously, and we like that you do, too. We wanted to have high quality, humanely-raised chicken in our product. Our chicken comes from certified Global Animal Partnership (GAP) rated farms such as Mary's Chicken from Pitman Family Farms. All chicken in our sausages is raised with NO antibiotics ever and fed a 100% vegetarian diet.

I THOUGHT YOU WERE CALLED MISFIT FOODS … WHAT CHANGED?

In January 2022 we changed our name from Misfit Foods to PHIL’S FINEST! While our name has changed, our focus has never been clearer. We’re still on a mission to bring together the best of what meats & veggies have to offer - in other words, to put the “more” in omnivore! We are relentlessly focused on not only the products we make, but also how we bring them to you. Our new brand, Phil's Finest, is the culmination of our team's hard work and dedication to developing our product, building our community, and aiming to do better for our planet. It takes a village to make it all happen, and we're so grateful for the support of our community - which includes our culinary partners, design team, retailers, friends, and family - a sincere thank you. Small bites really do add up to big change - and the best is yet to come!
